DHAKA, Sept 2, 2025 (BSS)—The Women’s national team will play three matches against Bangladesh Under-15 boys team as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

The three matches are scheduled to be held on September 8, 11 and 14 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) earlier organized Women’s Challenge Cup where Women’s Red, Women’s Green and U15 boys took part. The U15 boys won all matches against the two teams of Women’s.

Since there are no International matches scheduled for the Women’s team ahead of the World Cup, the BCB mulls playing against U15 boys will be effective for them.

After playing those three one-day matches against U15 boys, the women’s team will return to Dhaka on September 14. They will train four more days in Dhaka before flying to Sri Lanka to take part in the World Cup.

The Bangladesh Women’s team will play two official warm-up matches against South Africa and Sri Lanka on September 25 and 27 respectively in Colombo.

They will open the World Cup with the match against Pakistan in Colombo on October 2.

The Women’s World Cup is set to be held in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2.
