Baseball Development training camp held

DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 ((BSS)- As part of the promotion and expansion of baseball nationwide, a two-day "Sylhet District Baseball Development training camp-2025" was successfully held in Sylhet district stadium in Sylhet today (Monday), said a près release.

The joy of playing baseball for the first time in Sylhet has created great enthusiasm and excitement among local young athletes. The camp was held under the initiative of the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Federation.

The camp was run by a group of experienced officials, organizers, coaches, and national team players from the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Federation.

Advocate Imran Ahmed Chowdhury, senior member of the Sylhet District Sports Association, prominent social worker and politician, was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony and encouraged the players.

Senior vice president of the federation and development committee chairman professor Dr. Anupam Hossain, federation general secretary Talha Zubair and joint secretary Imam Hossain Sohag were also present there.

With an aim to nationwide baseball expansion plan, the Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Federation is working to establish baseball on the country's sports map with a specific development plan.

This year-round training camp will be organized continuously in all divisions and districts across the country.
In continuation, this training camp will be held in Chattogram district on September 11 and 12, and later in Cox's Bazar, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barisal and other divisions and districts later stage.
