CCC Mayor Dr. Shahadat calls for an end to genocide in Palestine

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has condemned the current Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinians in Gaza as a crime against humanity. 

Dr. Shahadat Hossain, expressed his support for the people of Palestine during a meeting with Palestinian Ambassador Yousuf S. Y. Ramadan at the CCC office in Tiger Pass on Sunday morning.
 
Dr. Hossain emphasized the need to address the oppression, persecution, and human rights violations faced by the innocent people of Palestine. He stated that it is the moral duty of world leaders to support them during this challenging time.
 
Highlighting Bangladesh's solidarity with the Palestinian cause, Dr. Hossain mentioned that the nation has always supported the oppressed Palestinians and will continue to do so. He reiterated Bangladesh's historical stance on advocating for an independent state of Palestine.
 
Following the meeting, Mayor Dr. Shahadat presented a symbolic souvenir of solidarity to the Palestinian Ambassador on behalf of the people of Chattogram city.
 
Ambassador Yusuf Ramadan thanked the CPC for their cooperation and praised Bangladesh for their ongoing support for the Palestinian cause. 

The event was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the CCC, Md. Ashraful Amin, Chief Cleaning Officer Captain Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Chief Revenue Officer Sarwar Kamal, Chief Education Officer Dr. Kissinger Chakma, Chief Engineer Anisur Rahman, Chief Accounting Officer Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Law Officer Mohiuddin Murad, and Special Magistrate Md. Shoaib Uddin Khan, among others.
