BBSA president eleven emerge champions

DHAKA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association (BBSA) president eleven emerged champion in the Japan-Bangladesh Baseball Friendship match beating Senior High School of Kogakuin University of Japan by 3-1 run held at Police Staff College ground at Mirpur today (Thursday). 

Youth and Sports Ministry's additional secretary Selim Fakir was the chief guest in the day-long competition and distributed the prizes. 

Kazi Md. Fazlul Karim, BPM-Sheba, additional IGP and Rector, Police Staff College, National Sports Council director (joint secretary) Nazrul Islam and Ansar and VDP director (sports) Mirza Sifat-E-Khoda were present there as the special guests. 

The main objective of this event was to enhance sports-based friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries, exchange skills and experiences between players, and taking effective initiatives to create scholarships, advanced training, and higher baseball opportunities for Bangladeshi students in Japanese schools in the future.

It can be mentioned that Bangladesh team was defeated by 9-2 run by the same opponent held in November 2024.
