DHAKA, Jan 16, 2026 (BSS) - Barisal U-17 district team split point with Patuakhali U-17 district team when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the U-17 National Football Championship held at Pirozpur district stadium today (Friday).

Ibrahim Gazi put Barisal ahead from spot kick in the injury time of the first half while Jewel Rana denied Barisal victory scoring a goal for Patuakhali in the 88th minute of the match.

Jewel Rana of Patuakhali was named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match. 

In the day’s second match, Barguna U-17 district team also shared point with Bagerhat U-17 district team when their match ended in a 1-1 draw also held at the same venue.

Barguna took lead through a social goal when defender Mohiuddin of Bagerhat scored an own goal in the 22nd minute but Bagerhat captain Labib Hawlader neutralized the margin in the 33rd minute with a perfect finishing.

Custodian Sifat Khan of Barguna was named the player of the match for his outstanding performance in the match.
