DHAKA, Jan 16, 2026 (BSS) - Sadharan Bima Corporation edged past East End Club by a solitary goal in a match of the Senior Division Football League held at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur today (Friday).

After the barren first half, Mubbashir Ebnay Mamun Jahin scored the all-important goal for Sadharan Bima in the 67th minute of the match.

With this win, Sadharan Bima, who are in the race of runners-up position along with the Mohakhali Akadash (33 points), moved up second position in the league table with 36 points from 16 matches while East End Club remained with their previous collection of 18 points playing the same number of matches.

Earlier, Jatrabari Krira Chakra already won the title of the league with one match in hand.  

In the day’s another match, Nababpur Krira Chakra split point with Basabo Tarun Sangha when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw also held at the same venue.

In the proceeding, Shohag Hossain put Nobabpur ahead in the 15th minute while after the breather Sobuj Mia scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute of the match.
