DHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh pacer made his Pakistan Super League
(PSL) debut today. Peshwar Zalmi included him in the playing XI for their
tournament opening game against Rawalpindi Pindiz in Lahore's Gaddafi
Stadium.
However, the lanky pacer couldn't make it a memorable one after conceding 31
runs in his four overs.
Peshwar captain Babar Azam chose Shoriful to open the bowling after
Rawalpindi elected to bat first.
Openers Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan, also the captain of Rawalpindi dealt
with him ease to give the side a fluent start.
Together they added 125 runs in the opening stand, paving a strong platform
for the side.
Yasir, who was harsh on Shoriful, made the team-best score by smashing 83 off
46, an innings studded by seven fours and six sixes. Rizwan added 41.
However, the other batters also played their part well, steering the side to
a daunting 214-4 eventually.
Rawalpindi, meanwhile, included another Bangladesh star Rishad Hossain into
the squad. The leg-spinner Rishad, didn't have to bat as the other batters of
his side shined in with full glory.
However, Rishad will be key in defending the total in a pitch which looked
like a paradise for the batters.
