DHAKA, May 13, 2026 (BSS)- Baten Biplob of Asian Television became champion in the 100-metre sprint event of the Cute-DRU Sports Festival 2026 athletics competition held at the Dhaka National Stadium on Wednesday.

Baten Biplob clinched the title with a timing of 13.48 seconds.

Jotimoy Mondal of Jugantor finished runner-up, clocking 13.65 seconds, while Shahadat Hossain of Dhaka Post secured third 
place with a time of 14.34 seconds.

The athletics event was conducted under the supervision of Omar Faruk Rubel, Sports Editor of the Dhaka Reporters Unity.

Meanwhile, the men’s singles table tennis event of the festival will be held on Thursday at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Indoor Stadium.
