FARIDPUR, March 16, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and one was injured in a road
accident in Shibrampur area on the Dhaka-Faridpur highway in Sadar upazila of the district
today.
The deceased were Nayon Sheikh of Chandpur village and Shahjahan Sheikh of Madandia
village under Sadar upazila of the district.
The accident occurred when a truck driver lost control over the steering and hit a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving motorcycle rider Nayon dead on the spot and injuring Nayon’s mother and auto-rickshaw driver Shahjahan.
Locals rescued them and sent them to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. But, auto-rickshaw driver Shahjahan died on way to the hospital, said Karimpur Haighway thana officer-in-charge Md Salauddin.
Legal action has been taken in this regard.
