Two Indian nationals arrested for illegal entry

CUMILLA, March 16, 2025 (BSS) – Two Indian nationals were arrested by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today for illegal entry into Bangladesh through the border area.

BGB-60 Sultanpur Battalion arrested the duo from Burichang upazila of the district, said commander of BGB-60 Battalion Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman this afternoon.

The arrested were - Sanjit Deb Barma, 30, and Bimal Deb Barma, 23, of Konaban village under Madhupur police station in Sepahijala district, India.

Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman said that the arrested Indian citizens have been handed over to Kasba police station in Brahmanbaria district for further legal action.
