RANGAMATI, March 17, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed when lightning struck him at Bagachattar village under Langadu upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Jabed Ali, 20, son of Babul Hossain, a resident of Ward No- 6 of Bagachattar union of the upazila.

Police said the lightning struck Jabed Ali around 1.30pm while he was working at his agriculture land at the village this afternoon, said Ferdous Wahid, Officer-in-Charge of langadu Police Station. 

Local rescued him and taken to Longadu Sadar Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead, said Mostafa Monir, physian of the hospital.
