4 killed, two injured in Mymensingh truck-auto rickshaw collision

MYMENSINGH, Mar 30, 2025 (BSS) - Four members of a family were killed and two others injured here when a goods-laden truck had a head-on collision with an auto rickshaw carrying the victims and others.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Guoripur police station Mirza Majharul Anower said the accident occurred at about 6:30 am in the Gachtala area of the Chandrapara intersection here.

The deceased were identified as Mosammat Kulsum Begum, 95, her sister Dilbura, 40, her children Priti, 7 and Riti, 14.  

The bodies were kept at the mortuary of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital. Two injured persons Mahi, 16, and Shamoly Akhter were undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The OC said police are yet to trace out the killer truck.
