Holy Eid-ul-Fitr being observed in Khulna

KHULNA, Mar 31, 2025 (BSS) - Eid-ul-Fitr, one to the largest religious festivals of Muslims is being observed in Khulna with due religious fervor and enthusiasm.

Main congregation in Khulna was held at 8.00 am at the Circuit House grounds. President of the District Imam Council Maulana Mohammad Saleh conducted the prayer.

Government officials, political leaders, professionals and people of all walks of life offered their prayers in this venue.

A special Munajat was made for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah.

The second Eid congregation was held at 9:00 am at the Khulna Town Jame Mosque.

Eid prayers were also held at various mosques and Eidgahs across the city. Besides, Eid Jamaat was held at Khulna University (KU) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) mosques.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, special meals were served in various hospitals, prisons, government children's homes, vagrant welfare centers, and destitute welfare centers.
Bangladesh Betar of Khulna regional center also broadcast special programs while local newspapers published special Eid editions.

National flag was hoisted atop all government, semi-government, private, and autonomous buildings while main roads, important squares, road islands, and the circuit house grounds in the city were decorated with national flags and banners inscribed with "Eid Mubarak" in Bengali and Arabic.
