3 killed, 25 injured in Cumilla road accident

CUMILLA, April 1, 2025 (BSS) - Three persons were killed and 25 others injured in a tragic road accident in Indrachar area of Chandina upazila on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway of the district this evening.

The accident occurred when a Cumilla-bound passenger bus of ‘Tisha Plus Paribahan’ hit a roadside tree as its driver lost control over the steering wheel leaving the three killed on the spot and 25 others injured.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, police said.

Chandia Thana police and Fire Service rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.

The injured were sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.
