Man held with 3-kg ganja in Nilphamari

RANGPUR, April 3, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an
alleged drug trader with three kilograms of ganja from Khalisha Chapani
(Larkura Paschimpara) village in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari district on
Wednesday night.
 
"The arrested person was identified as Md. Rabiul Islam alias Saddam, 28, of
the village," said a press release issued here by Senior Assistant Director
(Media) of RAB-13 Additional Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Goswami
today.

On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2
from Nilphamari Camp of RAB-13 conducted a raid in the village, seized the
smuggled ganja and arrested Saddam from the spot at about 10:55 pm.

"The elite force handed over the arrested person to Dimla Police Station for
further legal action," the release added.
