KUSHTIA, April 3, 2025 (BSS) - Cheques of Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting were distributed today among the poor and sick journalists and their meritorious children at Chilis Food Park in  Kushtia district town.

Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust and Kushtia Union of Journalists jointly organised the cheques distribution event.

Deputy Director of the Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust ABM Rafiqul Islam attended the event as the chief guest, while President of the Kushtia Union of Journalists Abdur Razzak Bachchu presided over it.

General Secretary of the union Shamim Ul Hasan Apu moderated the event.

A total of 28 indigent and sick journalists of various print and electronic media working in Kushtia and 19 meritorious children of journalists received the cheques.
