COX'S BAZAR, June 9, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Joint Force arrested one person in possession of firearms from the Badarkhali area of Moheshkhali in the district last night.

The arrestee, identified as Md Ayub Ali, was a resident of Saral village of Banshkhali upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and the Coast Guard raided the area, arrested Ayub, and recovered seven locally-made firearms from his possession.

Legal action has been taken against him.
