Mobile court fines 16 motorcyclists in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, June 11, 2025 (BSS) -The upazila administration today conducted a mobile court drive in Daulatpur upazila to control the illegal riding of motorcycles without valid driving licences and helmets.

During the Eid holidays, a group of young people was frequently seen riding motorcycles without licences and safety gear, posing a threat to public safety. In response, the mobile court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nahian Nuren, took action under the Road Transport Act.

As part of the drive, a total of 16 individuals were detained and fined Tk. 7,500 in total for violating traffic laws.

UNO Nahian Nuren said the mobile court drive was part of a regular enforcement initiative aimed at ensuring road safety and discipline on local roads.
