3 killed in two separate road accidents in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, June 17, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed in two separate road 
accidents on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway in Phulbari and Nawabganj 
upazilas of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Sajedul Islam Saju, 33, son of Anarul Islam 
of Jagannathpur Rampur village in Kaharol upazila and Motaleb Hossain, 27, 
son of Abdur Razzak of Joyrampur village of the same upazila and Md. Alam 
Hossain, 28, son of Haider Ali of Chandipur village in Parbatipur upazila of 
the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Phulbari Police Station AKM Mohibbul Islam said 
motorcycle riders Sajedul and Motaleb were killed when a truck hit their bike 
from opposite direction around 10 am in Rajarampur Dangapara area under 
Phulbari upazila of the district.

They were going to Dhaka on a motorcycle from their village house, he added.

Meanwhile, another accident occurred when two trucks collided head-on near 
Bhaduria Bajitpur Bridge in Nawabganj upazila around 10 am, leaving truck 
driver Alam Hossain dead on the spot, said Inspector Abdul Matin, OC of 
Nawabganj Police Station.

Police and fire service rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent 
those to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital morgue, police sources added.
