17July uprising martyrs' families get financial aid in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, June 18, 2025 (BSS) - The district administration today distributed financial assistance to the families of 17 martyrs of the July Uprising.

Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Sarkar handed over Taka 2 lakh to each of the martyrs' families at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner this morning.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) JP Dewan, Superintendent of Police Md. Akhter Hossain, representatives of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and members of the martyred families were present.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Rajiv Kumar Sarkar said the sacrifices of the July Uprising martyrs will remain etched in the nation's memory forever.
