HSC examinee killed in Meherpur road accident

MEHERPUR June 18, 2025 (BSS) - A HSC examinee was killed and two others were 
injured in a road accident in Gangni upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Nahid Hossain, 18, son of Babul Hossain, a resident of 
Elangi village of the upazila.

The accident took place at Chaugachha on the Gangni-Kathuli road around 3.30 
pm when a human hauler turned turtle on the road as its driver lost control 
of the vehicle, leaving its two passengers and driver injured, said Bani 
Israel, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gangni Police Station.

The injured were taken to Gangni Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors 
declared Nahid dead.
