NOAKHALI, June 19, 2025 (BSS) - A construction worker died after falling from 
the roof of an under construction building in Companiganj upazila of the 
district today.

The deceased was identified as M. Alauddin, 37, son of Mohammad Ullah, a 
resident of Boro Bari of Gazirbagh village under Batiya union in Kabirhat 
upazila of the district.

According to locals, the incident took place around 12.15 pm when he was 
working on the roof of an under construction building in Hospital Road area 
of Basurhat municipality and suddenly fell down from the roof due to 
carelessness.

He was rushed to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctors 
declared him dead, said Sub-Inspector (SI) of Companiganj Police Station Md. 
Abu Kausar said.
