CHATTOGRAM (North), June 19, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed as a container
lorry ran over him in Badamtoli area under Mirsarai upazila of the district
this morning.
The deceased was identified as Md. Joynal Abedin, 55, son of late Lokiat
Ullah of Fenapuni Badamtoli area of Khayachhara union of the upazila.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 8 am when a
speeding container lorry heading to Chattogram crushed Joynal as its driver
lost control over the steering, said Abdullah Alam Mamun, officer-in-charge
(OC) of Zorarganj Highway Police Station.
He died on the spot, the OC added.
