Three motorcyclists killed in Bogura road accident

BOGURA, June 19, 2025 (BSS) - Three motorcyclists were killed in a road accident near the fire service station on the Bogura-Naogaon highway at Adamdighi upazila of the district this afternoon. 

The deceased have been identified as Shafiqul Islam Rinkon, 21, of Dakshin Sathalia village in Saghata upazila of Gaibandha and Mushfiqur Rahman of Gokul Uttarpara in Bogura Sadar upazila. The third victim was initially identified only as Ashrafuzzaman.

According to police and local sources, the victims were traveling towards Bogura on a motorcycle bearing registration number Dhaka Metro-L-50-4176 when a Naogaon-bound truck (Dhaka Metro-T-22-9019) struck them head-on, leaving them dead on spot.

Members of the Adamdighi Fire Service later arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.

Adamdighi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the incident, stating, "The truck involved in the collision has been seized. However, the driver and his assistant managed to flee the scene. We are conducting an investigation and legal proceedings are underway".
