UP chairman arrested during 'devil haunt' in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, JUNE 20, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested Bharatkhali union parishad chairman Faruk Hossain under Saghta upazila in the district during a 'devil haunt' drive on Thursday afternoon.

He was arrested from a tea shop nearby the union parishad office, but the charges against him are yet to be disclosed. 

Saghata Thana Officer-in-Charge Md. Badsha Alam confirmed the arrest and said the arrestee will be produced before the court this noon.
