Mymensingh, June 20, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince has said that a state based on equality and humanity, free from discrimination, must be established by restoring democracy in line with the aspirations of the 2024 July uprising.
He made these remarks yesterday while addressing a workers' rally as the chief guest at the sadar union of Dhobaura upazila in Mymensingh.
Emran Saleh Prince emphasized the need for honest, selfless, dedicated and committed workers to fulfill public aspirations and the promises made to the people.
Calling on everyone to prepare for this goal, the BNP leader said that people have high expectations from the BNP, and with that comes great responsibility, challenges and concerns.
He urged everyone to be prepared to fulfill public expectations and commitments while maintaining popularity after winning elections.
He advised party leaders and activists to abandon the mindset of "what did I get?" and instead think about "what am I giving or able to give to the country and the people?" He also stressed that leaders and activists must earn through lawful and ethical means.
Referring to the strict stance of BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman regarding misguided individuals, Prince said those who break party discipline or tarnish its image will no longer be tolerated-no matter how dedicated or powerful they are, they will not be forgiven.
Politics is not about power display or dominance, but about selfless service to the country and its people, which is the core principle of BNP's politics, he added.
The rally was presided over by Dhobaura upazila BNP Convener Prof Azharul Islam Kajol and conducted by Member Secretary Anisur Rahman Monik. Upazila BNP Joint Conveners Moazzem Hossain Khan Liton, Abdul Momen Shahin, Jubo Dal leader Faruk Hossain, Rozel Biswas, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Imran Hossain and Member Secretary Kamrul Hasan Sumon, among others, addressed the event.
Earlier yesterday, Syed Emran Saleh Prince distributed exam supplies among HSC examinees in Haluaghat. He attended farewell ceremonies for HSC candidates at Haluaghat Women's Degree College and Haluaghat Shaheed Smriti Government Degree College, where he handed over the exam kits to the students.
