Six more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 20, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram has reported six new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, identified from 81 tests conducted across the district.

With the latest cases, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the district has risen to 56 over the last 12 days, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram Dr. Jahangir Alam informed BSS.

Coronavirus testing is currently being carried out in six laboratories, including the RT-PCR lab at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), he added.

At present, 41 patients are undergoing treatment in various designated hospitals in the city.

Of the total 56 cases, 49 patients are from the city while the remaining seven are from different upazilas. One Covid-19-related death has been reported so far in the district.

Dr. Jahangir Alam also assured that the Health Department is fully prepared to contain the spread of the virus and urged the public to remain cautious by avoiding crowds and wearing masks.
