RANGPUR, July 27, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has rescued a kidnapped teenage girl of Nilphamari and arrested the alleged kidnapper from the Nishinda Bazar area under Bhaluka Police Station of Mymensingh on Saturday night.
The arrested kidnapper Abdul Jalil alias Johnny, 22, is the son of Mizanur Rahman Mirza of Kachukata Sarderpara village under Sadar Police Station of Nilphamari district, police said.
The arrested person along with his accomplices kidnapped the teenage girl from the Kachukata Molangerpar on July 2 last.
Later, the victim's father filed a case with Nilphamari Sadar Police Station in this connection on July 7.
On a tip off, a joint team of the RAB Nilphamari Camp and RAB Mymensingh Camp conducted a raid in the Nishinda Bazar area under Bhaluka Police Station of Mymensingh, arrested the main accused and rescued the victim at 7:30 pm on Saturday.
Rab handed over the girl and the arrested person to Nilphamari Sadar thana police.
