One killed in Cumilla road accident

CUMILLA, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Tanki area on the Companiganj-Nabinagar regional road in Muradnagar upazila of the district today.

The victim was Malu Mia, 55, son of late Chandar Ali of Laourfatepur village in Nabinagar upazila of the district.

The accident occurred when a cow-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving Malu Mia dead on the spot and injured CNG driver Sagar Mia.

Injured Sagar Mia was admitted to Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition.

Police seized the two vehicles from the spot, said Bangra Bazar Thana OC (investigation) Anowar Hossain.

A case was filed in this regard.
