CHATTOGRAM, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - A four-year-old child tragically drowned in a pond at Pindong village under Fatikchari upazila today.

The deceased was identified as Arafat, son of Moinuddin of Pindong village. 

Locals said Arafat and other children were playing near a pond close to their home around 1:00 pm when the incident occurred.

Family members and nearby residents rescued and rushed him to Fatikchari Upazila Health Complex at around 2:00 pm where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
