NAOGAON, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - Two brothers drowned in a pond at Mondolpara village in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district around noon today.

The deceased were identified as Mofiz Pramanik, 65, and Hobiz Pramanik, 45, sons of the late Hayer Pramanik.

Their younger brother, Belal Pramanik, said the two were walking near their home when they accidentally fell into a nearby pond. Locals later recovered their bodies after a search operation.

Raninagar Police Station OC Abdul Hafiz Md. Raihan confirmed that a UD (unnatural death) case has been filed and the bodies were handed over to the family following legal procedures.
