One killed in Madaripur road crash

MADARIPUR, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and four others were injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Sadar upazila here last night.

The deceased was Rakib, 22, son of Abul Kalam from Kalikapur village in Sadar Upazila.

The accident occurred near Habiganj Bridge around 8 pm when two motorcycles collided head-on, leaving bike rider Rakib dead on the spot and four other riders of both the bikes injured, said Adil Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madaripur Sadar Police Station.
    
Locals rescued the injured and initially admitted them to Madaripur Sadar Hospital, after which they were transferred to Dhaka Pangu Hospital.
