One held with huge ganja in Cumilla

CUMILLA, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) in a drive arrested an alleged drug trader with 84 kg of ganja and 21,000 pieces of firecrackers from Brahmanpara upazila of the district last night.

The arrested was Md. Hridoy Hasan, 24, son of Alauddin of Dakshin Shashidal village of the upazila.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in Sashidal area of the upazila and arrested Hridoy with the ganja and firecrackers, said a RAB press release this morning.

Hridoy has been collecting narcotics, ganja and Indian fireworks from the border area for a long time and selling these at wholesale and retail prices in different areas of Cumilla, the release added.
