Video on Momtaz’s house vandalism false: BanglaFact

DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS)- BanglaFact of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) has identified the viral video claiming vandalism of former Manikganj MP Momtaz  Begum as false and misleading.

Clarifying the issue, BanglaFact noted that the video is actually footage of a drive of Forest Department to demolish illegal structures at Kaliakoir of Gazipur on March 30 this year.

The investigation of BanglaFact found that the viral video is being propagated with a false headline ‘Singer Momtaz’s house being demolished with bulldozers’ to mislead people.
