MOSCOW, April 8, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Russia is hoping for a new round of US-brokered trilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine, a process stalled recently by the Middle East conflict, the Kremlin said Wednesday.
"American negotiators are currently preoccupied with Iranian affairs," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, including from AFP, at a briefing.
"We hope that in the foreseeable future they will have more time and more opportunities to meet in a trilateral format. We look forward to this," Peskov added.
