DHAKA, Jan 21, 2025 (BSS) - Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having moderate to thick fog at places over the Northern part and light to moderate fog elsewhere over the country during the night to morning.

"Night temperature may rise by (1-2) degrees Celsius and day temperature may rise slightly over the country," said a release of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) office forecast this noon.

About the outlook for the next five days, it said night and day temperature may fall.

Meanwhile, ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining western part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay, the Met office mentioned.

The Met office yesterday recorded maximum temperature as 30.5 degrees Celsius in Teknaf of Chattogram division while the minimum temperature is 10.1 degrees Celsius at Dinajpur of Rangpur Division.  

Today's sunset at Dhaka will be at 05:37 pm while the sun will rise tomorrow at 06:45am.
