Field-level officials asked to ensure fair SSC exams

DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - The Ministry of Education has directed field-level officials to provide all-out support to ensure that the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations are held in a fair and cheating-free environment.

The examinations began simultaneously across the country at 10:00 am today.

According to a letter issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division, the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has been asked to ensure implementation of the directive among all relevant officials.

The letter, signed by Deputy Secretary Sabina Yasmin requested divisional directors, deputy directors, district education officers (DEOs) and upazila secondary education officers to extend necessary cooperation at the field level.

The ministry also instructed all concerned to remain vigilant to prevent malpractice.

SSC and equivalent examinations are being held nationwide with enhanced security measures to ensure smooth conduct.
