Dhaka, May 29, 2025 (BSS) - BanglaFact, a fact-checking and media research team of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified the claim of annulling Govt. Job Ordinance (amended)- 2025 after the Chief Adviser's return to country as wrong and ill-intending.

Debunking the claim, BanglaFact investigation report said, "No decision has been taken to repeal the Government Job (amended) Ordinance when the Chief Advisor returns to the country."

The report said the wrong information originated from the misinterpretation of a recent speech of Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry.

According to the BanglaFact report, Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed lately told reporters that it is impossible for the Cabinet Secretary to take a decision alone and he will inform the Chief Adviser about the matter when he returns home on May 31. Then, the Chief Adviser will discuss the matter in detail and take a decision.

"The Chief Advisor will take a decision on this after his return to the country. Nothing has been finalized yet on whether the Government Services (Amendment) Ordinance will be repealed or maintained," it reads.

The headline of some daily newspapers portraying annulment of Govt. Job Ordinance after chief adviser's home coming may mislead the reader in this regard, the report adds.
