DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - A minor fire that broke out in the Secretariat's new 20-storey Building No. 1 was brought under control within minutes on this afternoon.
According to Fire Brigade and Civil Defence sources, the blaze originated from a faulty exhaust fan outside the 9th floor at around 2:00pm.
Three fire service units rushed to the scene immediately.
However, firefighters stationed at the building were able to extinguish the flames using extinguishers by 2:15pm.
No casualties were reported.
