DHAKA Apr 11, 2026 (BSS) - Police from Jatrabari Thana under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 15 individuals during a special drive targeting crime-prone areas in the locality.

According to police sources, the operation was conducted on Friday across different areas under Jatrabari Police Station, leading to the arrest of suspects involved in various criminal activities.

NM Nasir Uddin,Deputy Commissioner Media and Public Relations Division, DMP confirmed the arrests.

The arrestees are -- Noor Amin Hawlader , 28, Mahmud Mia ,22, Mohammad Belal ,32, Faruk Mia ,30, Lutfa Begum ,42, Zubayer Hossain Shihab ,21, Rajib ,29, Fuad Hossain Bobby ,38, Alauddin ,40, Nakib Islam Didar ,26, Arafat ,19, Robin ,25, Abdur Rahman ,23, Bappi Hossain ,28, and Sujon Sheikh ,19.

During the raid, police recovered 4,000 Yaba tablets, 1.5 kilograms of cannabis, 1,500 kilograms of banned polythene (PP), one pickup vehicle used for transporting the illegal goods, police sources said.

All arrested individuals have been sent to court for further legal proceedings.
