43 crime suspects arrested in Uttara

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 43 individuals involved in various criminal activities have been arrested in a special drive conducted by the Uttara West Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The arrested individuals are: Md. Ahsanullah, 28, Sani, 31, Md. Sharif, 22, Hari Kamal Barman, 27, Siam, 20, Ruhul Amin, 24, Faisal, 22, Salman, 23, Md. Mohsin, 30, Atik Aslam, 30, Md. Hanif, 35, Md. Nahid, 18, Md. Faisal, 35, Md. Ashik, 28, Md. Sabbir, 22, Md. Parvez, 29, Md. Russell Mia, 23, Md. Moksedul Islam, 20, Md. Ranju Mia, 35, Md. Akram, 38, Md. Sumon, 22, Md. Noman, 23, Helal Uddin, 40, Mukti Hazra, 23, Masudur Rahman, 32, Md. Monir Hossain, 37, Fuhad Islam, 24, Nakul Chandra Shil, 35, Md. Ripul Islam, 26, Nazmul Hossain, 23, Md. Mukul Mia, 35, Md. Shahid Mia, 19, Md. Ratan Mia, 25, Md. Khairul Islam, 25, Md. Monir Hossain, 27, Kiron, 25, Zobayer, 30, Md. Bappi Hossain, 22, Sagar, 20, Md. Manjurul Islam, 37, Md. Rakib Hossain, 26, Md. Kawsar, 25 and Md. Ruhul Amin, 36.


The drive was carried out on Tuesday in different areas under the Uttara West Police Station. 

Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Division, DMP, NM Nasiruddin confirmed the arrests and seizures.


During the drive, law enforcement officials recovered 20 Yaba tablets, 13 packets of cannabis and five packets of heroin from the possession of the arrested individuals.

The detainees have been sent to the court for legal proceedings.

Police officials said such operations will continue to curb crime and maintain law and order.
