BD U15 boys beat Women’s Green team in Challenge Cup

DHAKA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) — After beating the Bangladesh Women’s Red team, Bangladesh Under-15 boys pulled off a 41-run victory against Bangladesh Women’s Green team too by DLS method in the Women’s Challenge Cup at BKSP-3 ground on Friday.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) organized the Women’s Challenge Cup for the national Women’s team’s preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup.

The Women’s national team split into—Red and Green and Boys Under-15 team are taking part in the double-leg tournament.

The match was reduced to 39 over due to rain and after batting first, Under-15 amassed 189-7, thanks to Kheyal Roy Omm’s 82-run. The match was further reduced to 30 overs when rain interrupted the game for the second time. The revised target for Women’s Green was set 177 in 30 overs. 

However, the Women’s Green were held back to 135-7 in the face of disciplined bowling of U15 boys. Rubya Haider Jhilik made highest 51 for Green.
