DHAKA, April 6, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh hockey team played out to a 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan in their third Pool B match of the Men's Asian Games Qualifier held in Bangkok, Thailand, today (Monday).

With this outcome, both Bangladesh and Uzbekistan secured four points. However, Uzbekistan has booked its ticket to the semi-final due to a better goal difference than Bangladesh.

However, all is not over yet for Bangladesh. The top six teams out of the nine teams in the qualifiers will have the opportunity to go to the main stage. Bangladesh will need to finish in the battle for fifth or sixth place to secure the desired Asian Games ticket.

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Chinese Taipei by 4-3 goals in their opening match but suffered a 3-2 goal defeat to Sri Lanka in their second match.
The 2026 Asian Games, also known as 20th Asian Games will be Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September
