DHAKA, Apr 6, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh U-20 women’s national team face Vietnam in their crucial third group stage fixture of the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup scheduled to be held at Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand tomorrow (Tuesday).

The match kicks off at 7 pm Bangladesh time.

Following the two previous matches defeat, Bangladesh must secure a win against Vietnam to keep their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage alive.

Bangladesh slumped to their second successive defeat in the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup as favourites China handed the women in red and green a 2-0 loss in their Group A encounter at the Nonthaburi Stadium today.

Following a full recovery day on 05 April after their previous match against China PR, the Bangladesh U-20 Women’s National Football Team resumed training this morning at Alpine Training Camp (Pitch 2) in Bangkok.
Despite the hot and humid weather conditions, the team carried out an intensive and focused session under the guidance of Head Coach Peter Butler. The training included warm-ups, technical passing drills and a competitive intra-squad practice match designed around real-game scenarios.

The coaching staff worked closely with the players to address key areas identified in the previous match, with particular emphasis on tactical organization and decision-making.

The session concluded with comprehensive set-piece practice, covering both attacking and defensive situations.

At the end of the training, the head coach conducted an on-field team discussion, highlighting important takeaways from the last match and outlining tactical adjustments ahead of the upcoming fixture.

Ahead of the match Surovi Akondo Prity said they are upbeat to play a good brand of football against Vietnam. She also ought support to the nation so that the team can snatch a good result.
