KUSHTIA, April 17, 2025 (BSS) - Two persons, including a woman, were killed in two separate road accidents in Mirpur and Bheramara upazilas here. 

The deceased were Rehana Akhter, 46, wife of Montu Sardar of Noudakhadimpur area in Mirpur upazila and Firoz Alam, 32, son of Kamal Hossain of Bahadurpur village in Bheramara upazila of the district.

Locals said when a truck hit an auto-rickshaw on the Bheramara-Bahadurpur road, leaving rickshaw passenger Firoz Alam dead on the spot last night.

In another accident, a sand-laden truck hit Rehana and her husband Montu while they were crossing the road, leaving Rehana dead on the spot.

Montu was sent to upazila health complex in a critical condition.

Two separate cases were filed in these regards.
