2,720 farmers get seeds, fertilizer in Jashore

JASHORE, April 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) today distributed free fertilizer and seeds among 2,720 marginal farmers of Sadar and Bagharpara upazilas in the district.

"The government provides incentives to farmers in the form of seeds and fertilizer to increase crop production in the country," an officer of DAE said.

He said the government has been working to increase crops production in the country aimed at decreasing import.

As part of the scheme, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharmin Akter distributed paddy, jute seeds and fertilizer among 430 farmers at Sadar upazila parishad auditorium with upazila agriculture officer Krishibid Hasan Ali in the chair.
