50 women trainee get laptops in Bhola

BHOLA, April 17, 2025 (BSS) –  The district administration of Bhola today distributed laptops among 50 trained women of two upazilas under the government’s project ‘Her Power’ aiming to empower women through technology.

Deputy Commissioner of Bhola Md Azad Jahan distributed the laptops among these women of Bhola Sadar and Borhanuddin Upazila at the DC office conference room here this noon.

The distribution ceremony was jointly arranged by district administration, ICT department and Chal-Dal Dot Com limited.

Addressing the distribution ceremony, the DC said, “Using the technologies, women will be able to enhance their skills by adopting new ideas. New work opportunities will be created and women will be able to contribute to the economic development of the country.”

Deputy Director of Local Government Md. Mizanur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md. Rifat Ferdous, Assistant Programmer of Bhola District Information and Communication Technology department Arifur Rahman, Upazila ICT Officer Mithun Chakraborty, Deputy Director of Chal-Dal.com Limited Saad Ibne Mohammad were also present in the programme, among others.
