MANIKGANJ, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the joint forces recovered a Chinese revolver along with two rounds of bullets from Darikandi village under Shibalaya upazila in the district on Friday evening.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibalaya Police Station Shafiqul Azam said the firearm was recovered during a special drive conducted on the basis of secret information.

The revolver was found hidden in a bamboo bush near Khalpar Mosque under Aroa Union of the upazila, the OC added.

The 17cm-long revolver was complete with barrel, trigger and firing pin, and was found to be in active condition, he said.

The recovered firearm has been kept in police custody, and legal procedures are underway in this connection, the OC further said.
