MUNSHIGANJ, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested a fugitive accused in five cases with a pistol and five bullets from Sholoani village under Gazaria upazila of the district this morning.

The arrested was Azizul Rahman alias Palash, 40, son of Md. Shah Alam of the village.

On a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in Sholoani village around 6 am and arrested Palash with the pistol and bullets, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gazaria Police Station Md. Anwar Alam.

Later, according to Palash's confession, some local weapons were recovered.

A case was filed in this connection.
