Van driver killed in road accident in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) - A van driver was killed at 9.30 am this morning when a bus ran over him on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Kashiani upazila of Goplaganj district.

The deceased was identified as Suken Bar (30) son of Jiten Bar from Mahmudpur village of the district.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhatiapara Highway Police Station Md. Maksudur Rahman told BSS that, “Suken Bar was ran over by a passenger bus while he was crossing the Dhaka-Khulna Highway this morning”.

“He was taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex when on duty doctors declared him dead. His body has been handed to his family”, he added.
